My favorite time of year!
I truly do enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday for many reasons! One, being a school teacher, it’s our first “vacation” of sorts; 5 big days! Second…and probably most important, my son Matt comes home from UNH and we all spend time together with the rest of the family! Third…the food is awesome! Seriously though, how much ‘bliss’ can one stand when you have a cup of coffee and a piece of Pecan Pie???
We’ve always celebrated Thanksgiving with the “Ghioto” side of the family. Three of the five siblings, along with the husbands, wives, and the children, usually converge somewhere! This year we are at Sara and Nate’s again, the “newlyweds” of one year or so. The children aren’t exactly “children” anymore, either!
So I wish you the very best of holidays this year, may we all take time out to reflect on just how much we have to be grateful for!
A Guilt Free Healthy Chocolate???
Well, I never thought I would find this…a chocolate that is actually healthy for you!
I had heard about this chocolate….and met up with Dr. Erika Duffy who has co-authored
books with the likes of Deepak Chopra and Dr. Wayne Dyer. Erika is into holistic health
and I met her in Manchester, nh yesterday. I ate a piece of chocolate and drank some cold water after wards and experienced the “Wow” effect that many people have! So of course, I ordered some and want to share this great product with everyone…
Imagine that…chocolate that’s organic and healthy; even good for the teeth!
Who’d have imagined?
Lessons from The Butterfly
A great story was sent to me recently, and I think it speaks to our view on life’s challenges in general. It’s called “The Butterfly” and I wanted to share it with you!
Enjoy and ponder the possibilities of seeing the best in all of our struggles we encounter on the journey to greatness…Merry Christmas, and, here’s to a joyous New Year filled with hope, happiness, and abundance! Julie Andrews
The Butterfly
Author: Unknown
“A man found a cocoon for a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through the little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and could go no farther.
Then the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily.
Something was strange. The butterfly had a swollen body and shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened. In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and deformed wings. It was never able to fly.
What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand, was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the small opening of the cocoon are God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through all our life without any obstacles, that would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. Not only that, we could never fly.”
The True Secret!
Today while surfing a site about personal change, I came across this from Dr. Wayne
Dyer:
“When you change the way you look
at things, the things you look at change.”
— Wayne Dyer: Self-development author and speaker
Everytime I see this I am reminded of the power of our thoughts and intentions.
As a teacher I find myself sometimes with a “difficult” class and when I get real about it,
I often come to the conclusion that if I changed how I saw them, maybe they would
have a different class attitude. Oh, the days I have a “flat forehead” moment and remember
how powerful intention really is!
Yep, set an intention, get a result. Fuel that intention with emotion and desire. Watch
it launch…then, reap the harvest. Think about it.
Blissfully yours,

Cultivating the Attitude of Gratitude
Two days before the Thanksgiving holiday and I am filled with gratitude on so many levels!
It’s supposed to be a day of gathering friends, family, and to take time to think about what we are grateful for. Gratitude is one of the most uplifting of spiritual feelings one can have. Without it, we have no focus and our desires tend to sit on the fence. Gratitude helps us launch our desires, and allows us to spend time in a place of peace and contentment. It’s said that before we sleep each night we should think of the things we are grateful for…sounds like a great idea!
One tradition we have in our family at Thanksgiving is the “Thank You” box. We write down
anonymously the things we are most grateful for and put them in the box. Then, after we have stuffed ourselves with turkey, pie, etc we read these. There is always something unexpected; I wonder what will be said this year? Especially when the focus as of late has been on LACK rather than the simple ABUNDANCE that is all around us….hmm…
So be in the place of gratitude this holiday and every day of your life! I ask…what is the alternative?
Blissfully yours, Julie

You Can Get Anything You Want..At the Universal Restaurant (Except Alice!)
You Can Get Anything You Want…At the Universal Restaurant!
There’s so much talk online, offline, about the magic of the ever expanding Universe. “What you think about, you bring about” and other axioms abound. More recently, thanks to videos such as “The Secret” and “What the Bleep Do We Know”, people are learning to harness the laws of attraction to fulfill life long dreams. When explaining this wonderful, yet underutilized tool we have, I often make the analogy that these Universal laws and principals are much like going to your favorite restaurant…it always delivers!
Problem is, most people don’t understand, or are unwilling to fathom, “how it works”. For them, it’s all “hooey” or is just too difficult to understand. This simple analogy of the Universal Restaurant, attempts to create a new and empowering belief of how to use the power of the Laws of Attraction and other gifts from the Universe.
How can a restaurant, and something as vast as the Universe, be alike? Think for a minute, of your absolute favorite place to eat. It doesn’t matter if it’s the restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton, or the Denny’s off I-84. You are filled with anticipation when you enter the place; you know the smells, the familiar hostess or matre D seats you in “your table”. As the server approaches, you can hardly wait to hear about today’s “specials” as they are always delightful. You don’t doubt the quality of your meal, or the timeliness of it as you have unbridled FAITH that it’s coming! You don’t need to ask the waitress “where’s my meal” like you notice the other patrons doing. When it arrives, it does not disappoint. It’s exactly as you expected, and MORE! “Tell the chef he’s really outdone himself this time” you exclaim with gratitude, as you know that gratitude is the foundation for all blessings in life. This gratitude fuels more experiences of the same magnitude, each more exhilarating that the last. You share your enthusiasm with others, and those that “get it” have similar, life changing experiences.
If you learn “how to place your order” you too will receive the “meal” of your life. I will never forget an experience when I was a waitress at a place called Harts Turkey Farm in NH…we had a rather vast menu for a turkey place! You could get turkey this, turkey that, and of course, turkey sandwiches. One day, a customer asked for the sliced turkey sandwich but he “didn’t want this, didn’t want that, just the turkey and lettuce”. (I assumed he still wanted the bread. He did.) Anyway, I went into the kitchen with the order, handed it to the sandwich chef, (for lack of a better term) and written all over the order was what the customer DIDN’T WANT. The chef said “don’t tell me what he doesn’t WANT…tell me what he WANTS!” Of course, any student of Universal principal has learned, or is in the process of learning, that to manifest anything in life, we are to focus with what we want, not what we don’t want! Our life experiences are the result of our thinking…you get, what you intend to get. The Universe will not judge, nor discriminate. All are welcome at its table.
This was early training for me but of course, at the time, I had not learned what I know now…and what a shame that was because it took another 15 years before the “lights went on”. As they say, “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear” and it was when I became involved with network marketing, I thankfully was introduced to these powerful laws of attraction and I am grateful I was in the right place, at the right time. I have had so many marvelous things happen as a result of learning how to “place my order”; so many gifts and people have shown up in my life as a result of applying one simple technique: asking for what I want, not what I don’t want! I’m still learning and find that when I am out of sorts with my thinking, I am not being grateful and am not placing my order correctly. I am also learning to not be surprised at the outcomes I get, because they often parallel my thinking. Want some thing different in life? Read a different menu and place a different order! Another tip: be patient! The Universe doesn’t know or have a time table. It delivers in its own time, usually in sync with the levels of our own vibrations that accompany the thought. The stronger the vibration, the sooner the delivery. You wouldn’t rush the chef as they prepare your incredible meal, right?
A great book I would recommend is Michael Losier’s “Law of Attraction”. Michael outlines this simple process of harnessing the laws of the universe to manifest the life you want! Get a copy today and you’ll be amazed at how fast you can create your life and your business to your custom order!
